Weekly Story

Please remember to have your child read their story each day Monday - Thursday and then sign the story. If you child is in the afterschool program, they are not reading the story with your child since it requires your signature. It is very important that your child have daily exposure to reading literature. The more they read the more fluent they will be.

Pumpkin Investigation

For our Pumpkin Investigation, we drew a picture of our pumpkin, measured it, tested if it sunk or floated, counted the lines and pulled out the seeds.

Graphing With Our Fifth Grade Buddies

The Book Fair is Here!

This Wednesday October 14th, we will be visiting the book fair. There will be books, pencils, posters and other fun little items for as little as a dollar. If you would like you child to purchase something, there are two methods: Fill out the order form that was sent home on Friday and send it with money or students can pick something when we go and pay at the cash register.

1st Quarter Progress Reports

Back-to-School Night

I was just made aware that the times for Back-to-School night have changed. Kindergarten's time is now 5:00 to 5:30 pm.

School Packet

Information packets are due next week, please turn them in as soon as possible.

Homework

Homework will be sent home on Mondays and brought back completed on Fridays. I will explain more in my Newsletter and on  Back to School Night.

I am still waiting on  the homework folders that were ordered so, we will be using our blue Rockin Robins folder that contained your information packets.

Days Four and Five - Organize and Bulletin Boards

My airconditioning is still not working, but I just pushed through it and got busy. I finished organizing my bookcases behind the kidney table.

I made the skirt for my kidney table!

Word wall is done along with group carts and supplies.

This picture shows the focus boards, writing center, and laptop charging station. I hope to finish the calendar area tomorrow.
